The Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is the nation's longest-running community science bird project.
The Christmas Bird Count occurs December 14 to January 5 every season. This Bird Babes meetup, we will join the team in Bishop to count and contribute valuable population data.
Centered around Rocking K, this 15-mile circle is broken into sections, and each section will be counted by a group of birders. This includes Pleasant Valley Reservoir, much of Round Valley, the Buttermilks, Druids, and south to the Sunland alfalfa fields and Wilkerson.
All levels of experience are welcome! Chris Howard is organizing the groups to ensure that each section will have a good mix of birding savvy.
